you used to wake me up when you came home from the office…so we could talk.  it was worth losing sleep just to be with you.

you told me you were just using me to forget the pain. i knew all along, and i just let you.  i let you go on. maybe because i was using you, too…to make myself happy.

you told me how hurt you were, and though it hurt me also to do so, i listened.  maybe because you were right… yes, you were such a baby…and i wanted to feel you needed me.
